Starting as of October 1, 2023, LS Retail will no longer provide Partner Dev SaaS licenses. All LS Retail Partners that require a SaaS DEV license must contact Microsoft and purchase the Dynamics 365 Business Central Partner Sandbox license for their AAD. Microsoft made this offer available in February 2022 to support partners that need non-production environments to learn, test, and deliver end-to-end customer demos with their solutions.
The existing Partner DEV tenants currently running on LS Retail Embed Cloud, will be moved over to the Microsoft BC Public Cloud in the following weeks and will we contact the Technical Contact on your Partner agreement before the move by email.
If there is data in your current Partner DEV tenant you would like to be moved to your new Partner Sandbox license, please reply back to the email so that we can work on a Tenant to Tenant migration after the current Partner DEV tenant license has been moved to the Microsoft BC Public Cloud.
All current Partner DEV tenants that were previously provisioned by LS Retail will be deleted, starting January 2024.
Purchasing a new Partner Sandbox license is simple: Go to experience.dynamics.com and submit a request for the Dynamics 365 Business Central Partner Sandbox license. Use a valid MPN ID. Once your request is approved, you receive a token to purchase the SKUs directly.
PREREQUISITS:
- 1. You will need a valid Microsoft Partner Network (MPN ID) in Partner Center
- 2. You must have a valid Credit Card for payment.
- 3. Activation is processed by a Global Admin user registered on your tenant
- 4. The activation link is valid only for the tenant associated with the MPN ID used for registration.
- 5. To install the LS Central App from App Source, please create a ticket with LS Retail Licenses Department at Licenses@lsretail.com and share the tenant Microsoft ID, Domain Name, and the environment localization and You will receive a link and instructions on how to install LS Central App on your new Partner Sandbox license.
IMPORTANT: The environments that you acquire through the Dynamics 365 Business Central Partner Sandbox license are strictly meant for use only on the partner’s tenant. You are not allowed to use this license in a customer tenant, nor in a production environment.
- The Partner Sandbox license gives access to Business Central Premium functionality by activating Premium experience on each D365 BC (Business Central) environment. On the Company Information page, on the User Experience Fast Tab, select Premium in the Experience field.
- Use the Partner Sandbox license for a Microsoft 365 account that does not currently have a Business Central license.
- The subscription will not increase the number of your D365 BC SaaS (Software as a Service) Sandbox environments, you will continue to use 1 production environment + 3 sandboxes.
- For additional production/sandbox environments, you will need to activate the Dynamics 365 Business Central Additional Environment Add-on which will increase with 1 Prod+ 3 sandboxes for each active Add-on activated on for your AAD.
- Alternatively, use the Partner Sandbox license to replace existing Business Central licenses in an existing environment; however, the license will not give you any additional environments on top of the environments you already had. Partners can purchase the unique, partner-only license via Web Direct to create flexible, cost-effective solutions that do not expire.
