Changes in the staging process
In the last few months we have been working on updating our staging process. In version 2021.1 the staging pipelines have been drastically changed, so they are now completely dynamic for LS Central on-premises.  

We utilize the LS Central database metadata to generate select queries for the staging tables in the LS Insight DW. A single pipeline in Azure Data Factory is then used for the extraction process. In previous versions we had one pipeline in the ADF for each staging table. Adding source tables and companies demanded creating additional pipelines. In this version adding tables and companies is now metadata driven.   

Multi-company support
This provided us with the opportunity to add support for multiple companies in the same LS Insight Data Warehouse. That is what we did and now a company dimension has been added to all Power BI template reports.  A report that compares two or more companies has not been created yet but will be added in future versions.  

LS Insight PowerShell deployment module
Because of the changes mentioned above, we decided to create the LS Insight PowerShell module to structure the deployment script and allow reuse of parameters when issues occur in the onboarding process. This simplifies maintenance and updates to the deployment process and helps during testing.
