Course objective

In this course, you will go through the setup of Analytics for LS Central for Architecture scenario 3 – LS Central SaaS and Analytics in Azure.

You will learn about the component architecture of Analytics, how to set it up, how to monitor and operate the environment after setup, and how to share the reports and create dashboards.

After completing this course, you should be able to:

• Set up Analytics for LS Central for LS Central SaaS and Analytics in Azure. This includes set up of webservice and scheduler jobs for replication from LS Central SaaS to Analytics
• Set up of Data Director
• Understand the structure of the Analytics Data Warehouse
• Understand the structure of the Analytics Azure Data Factory
• Understand the Azure cost model and the factors that contribute to the cost of running Analytics
• Understand the day-to-day operation of the Analytics environment in Azure
• Troubleshoot errors that may occur and send reports through support
• Understand how to create new report pages as well as publish, refresh, and distribute reports

Preparation requirements

All participants must have the latest LS Central Virtual Machine (VM) version installed before the course. It is possible to download it from the LS Retail Portal by clicking on the link provided. If you cannot access the VM site, please contact academy@lsretail.com. 

Please make sure you have your current/updated developer license with LS Retail objects available and uploaded to the server on the VM.

All participants should be local administrators of the machines they use.

Participants also need to have access to an LS Central SaaS environment. Customers can use a Sandbox environment in their tenant, and partners can use Production or Sandbox environments from their development tenant. The online help provides information about requesting a partner SaaS environment.
