LS Central for retail – General base
Course objective
In this course, participants will learn how to implement and set up the basic functions of the LS Central solution.
There are seven modules in this comprehensive course:
- Retail entities
- Item and related masters
- Price management
- Gift card and voucher
- POS profiles
- Tender management
- Data distribution
Participants will also complete various exercises to:
- Create their own store, terminals, staff IDs, and retail items with different options
- Change and add to the POS setup and usage
- Learn about different offer types
- Understand data distribution
- Learn other basic setup and options
To register for the LS Central for retail Base certification exam, please select a test session date on the Academy calendar.
The test assesses at an expertise level, and completing the course without the training success prerequisites can make it challenging to obtain a passing grade.

Preparation requirements
All participants must have the LS Central Virtual Machine (VM) installed before the course. It is possible to download it from the LS Retail Portal by clicking on the link provided. If you cannot access the VM site, please contact academy@lsretail.com.
Please make sure you have your current/updated developer license with LS Retail objects available and uploaded to the server on the VM.
All participants should be local administrators of the machines they use.
